How do I create a new circulating resolution?
Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating a circular resolution (with or without a template):
1. Create a Resolution
- Navigate to the ‘Resolutions’ section via the sidebar and click on ‘Create Resolution.’
- Select the committee responsible for adopting the resolution.
- Hint: If you’re unsure which committee should make the decision, consult the resolution catalogue for guidance.
2. Create a Resolution Using a Template
- If you prefer, you can create a resolution based on an existing template. Simply start typing to search for a relevant document.
- You’ll have the option to revise the draft later using the Document Builder.
3. Create a Resolution Without a Template
- Alternatively, you can skip the template step and draft a new resolution from scratch.
- After creating the resolution, you will be prompted to draft the document.
- You’ll be redirected to the Document Builder, where you can fully customize the resolution. Once finalized, click on ‘Create Template.’
- For further details, refer to our FAQ on the Document Builder for tips on using it efficiently.
4. Send Draft for Feedback (Optional)
- When your draft is complete, click on ‘Send Draft’ to gather feedback.
- Decide whether all committee members or only specific individuals should participate in the review phase.
- You can also invite external reviewers to provide feedback.
- Additionally, you have the option to set a deadline for the feedback during this step.
5. Start voting process
- You successfully created the resolution and are now ready to start the voting process! In this FAQ we'll explain how to start the voting process.
