Setting up a Fides account as a Shareholder

Dear Shareholder,

You probably stumbled across Fides because one of your portfolio companies is using Fides as their corporate management platform. Consequently, you received a Fides-Invitation via email.

This short article will help you to understand:

  1. Why you should create your own Fides account
  2. What you need to do
  3. What happens next

Why you should create your own Fides account:

  • We know your first thought and yes, setting up an account for you as a shareholder is for free.
However, we would be very happy to welcome you (and your company) not only as a shareholder but as a fully onboarded partner to support you in digitizing and organizing all governance-related topics. If you are interested in getting to know Fides better, please check out our website or book a demo.

  • Your portfolio company will use Fides to draft, discuss, vote and sign all resolutions. If all shareholders participate, this will save your portfolio company, all other shareholders and yourself time and money.

  • As a shareholder you can participate in the shareholder resolutions only when you have your own Fides account.

Here is what you need to do:

  • You already received the Invite-Mail and are reading this article - good job!
  • In the email click on the "Create new account"-Button and set up your password.

What's next:

Once you are logged in you will see the Dashboard of your Investment-Vehicle!

  • Only you and the other registered members (that you may have invited to your company account) have access. To participate in your portfolio companies resolutions simply click on "Resolutions" in the side bar or within your personal space.

  • Please note that you will only be permitted to freely use the full Fides world for a limited period of time. Afterwards we will be happy to permanently welcome you as a Fides member (see below)!

All actions that you need to do as the shareholder for your Fides-using portfolio company naturally remain active!

Should you have any further questions, please refer to our general FAQ section or get in touch with us (hello@fides.technology).

See you soon!
