What is a committee?

Committees are organizational units of a company. Some committees are mandatory by law, other may be established by the company voluntarily.

Example:

The mandatory committees of a German GmbH are the Shareholder-Committee and the Managing Director-Committee. In addition, the GmbH may have further committees, e.g. an Advisory Board or a Compiliance Committee.
