Can companies be assigned a status?

Yes. You can assign a status to each company, such as Active, Inactive, In Liquidation, Merged, or Sold.

To update a company’s status:

  1. Go to Entity Management > Entity Data.
  2. Open the Information tab.
  3. Click the pencil icon next to General entity information.
  4. Select the appropriate status from the drop-down menu.

The selected status is displayed throughout Fides, including in the Structure Chart.

You can also filter companies in the Structure Chart by Active or Inactive status. In this context, Inactive includes all companies that do not have the status Active. Use the filter icon in the Structure Chart to show or hide active and inactive companies.
