How Do I Use Intelligent Placeholders in the Document Builder?
What are Intelligent Placeholders?
Intelligent placeholders work like regular placeholders but with added functionality. They can be linked to a specific individual or company. When you select an entity or individual, the intelligent placeholder retrieves data from your saved Entity Data, automatically filling in key information such as names, addresses, registration numbers, birthdates, and more. This feature can significantly save time by allowing you to pull information directly from your existing data, eliminating the need to manually search for it!
Default Intelligent Placeholder
For each company you work with, a default intelligent placeholder will already be set up and linked to that company. This makes key company information easily accessible and automatically filled into your documents.
How to Add New Intelligent Placeholders
To add a new intelligent placeholder, simply click the "Add Instance" button. You can choose to add either a legal entity or an individual. We recommend configuring these placeholders within the document template for easier setup and consistency.
Where New Placeholders Appear
Once added, the new intelligent placeholder will appear on the left side of your screen for easy access.
Linking a Placeholder to an Entity or Individual
By clicking on a placeholder field, you can link it to an existing entity or individual from your saved data. We recommend linking placeholders after you've begun working on the specific resolution document rather than in the template. This is because the resolution document is where you will input the specific information relevant to that particular resolution.
