How Do I Start the Preapproval Process?
Once you’ve added a pre-approvee, you’re ready to begin the pre-approval process.
1. Create a resolution
Start by creating a resolution. If you’re unsure how to do this, refer to our FAQ on creating resolutions.
2. Send the Draft for Review (Optional)
You can send the draft resolution for review or skip this step. Once completed, the status will update to "Start Pre-Approval."
3. Start the Pre-Approval process
Click on the button "Start Pre-Approval."
4. Review and Confirm Pre-Approvees
You’ll see a summary of all pre-approvees and their email addresses. Review them carefully and click "Confirm." If you need to make changes to the pre-approvees or their email addresses, go back to your committee settings. Refer to our FAQ on adding pre-approvees for guidance.
5. Email Notification to Pre-Approvees
After confirmation, the resolution status changes to "Pre-Approval Pending." Pre-approvees will receive an email containing your personal message and a request for pre-approval.
6. Pre-Approval Decision
Pre-approvees can click the link in the email, which opens an external window displaying all resolution details. Here, they can:
- Approve the resolution
- Reject the resolution
- Add comments to justify their decision
7. Outcome Notification
- If all pre-approvees approve the resolution, the initiator is notified and can proceed to the "Signing Process."
- If any pre-approvee rejects the resolution, the process is returned to the initiator for review and restart.
