How do I add Powers of Attorney?

Creating a Power of Attorney

In Fides, you can create and manage Powers of Attorney (PoAs) for one or more users for certain transactions. You can view, edit, or delete existing Powers of Attorney at any time.

To add create a PoA, go to Entity Management > Powers of Attorney. Click Add Power of Attorney. 

 

Enter the required information. Click Continue. You can upload a Power of Attorney document either during the setup process or at a later time.

Creating a Legal Transaction Type

 

Next, assign a legal transaction type to the Power of Attorney. You can either select an existing legal transaction type, or create a new one.

To create a new legal transaction type, click Add legal transaction type (or Create new legal transaction type if legal transaction types already exist). 

Enter a title and category, add a banking account, and enter a description. Click Create new legal transaction type.  


 Adding Power to Represent

If no power to represent has been added yet, click Add first power to represent. 

 


 

You can:

  •  Grant sole representation rights to an individual or a group. 
  • Require joint representation by specifying that the selected person may only act together with a defined number of members of a group. You can adjust the required number using the + and โ€“ buttons. 

Click Add definition to save the representation rule.

You can also create alternative representation rules by clicking + Or and defining an additional representation option. To remove a representation rule, click Remove. Once you have finished configuring the Power of Attorney, click Save.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you need to create additional Powers of Attorney, repeat the steps above. When you are finished, click Next, review the summary, and then click Save.

 

Edit or Delete a Power of Attorney

To edit or delete a Power of Attorney, open the relevant Power of Attorney. Click the โ‹ฎ (three-dot) menu. From there, you can edit the PoA details, upload or replace the PoA document, edit the scope of the representation authority, or delete the PoA.
